Web Watch was talking with a real estate agent the other day about new home construction, and we thought we’d ask, “has anyone every inquired whether the new home was built on an ancient Indian burial ground?”.
They looked at us blankly, and said “yes”. It’s a quite common question for them, it seems, whether it be new home construction or even trying to find out a bit more about existing home sales.

You’ve reviewed your resume. You’ve rewritten your cover letter countless times. You’ve rehearsed your elevator speech in front of the mirror until you’re blue in the face. But you’re still not getting any leads back from the applications you’ve put in.
Maybe there’s absolutely nothing wrong with your paperwork. Maybe all that’s wrong is the way you’re going about applying for jobs in the first place.

Some people enjoy heading out to Las Vegas or their local casino area, partaking in some fine dining, a show or two, and maybe take a chance at the tables or slot machines. For some, that gambling portion of their trip can be an exciting time (check out any craps table around 11pm) or something a bit more depressing (any keno lounge at 3am).
The reasons that people enjoy gambling run almost hand in hand with the reasons that others absolutely despise gambling. To the latter group, the issue is often “why bother throwing money away? Nobody ever wins.”
And for the most part, they’re right. Casinos exist solely because the “house always wins”. If they didn’t, then casinos wouldn’t exist at all. Gambling is a business, and if a business can’t make a profit somewhere along the line, it would cease to exist.
Some people are lucky enough to WORK FROM HOME. They think that just because they’re home all day, that really is like a vacation day and they can spend the entire time running errands or taking care of house projects under the guise of “working”.
Others take their telecommuting a bit more seriously, and end up working longer hours than their office-bound counterparts in order to retain the flexibility of maintaining a home office.

Weddings can cost a lot of money. Web Watch has heard stories from our friends of their weddings costing tens of thousands of dollars — one even went into the six figures, partially courtesy of the location held high above Manhattan.
But just as there are many ways that can cause a wedding cost to skyrocket, there are plenty of other ways that the happy couple can cut down on the costs of some wedding specifics.
When it comes to beverages, there are COFFEE PEOPLE and NON-COFFEE PEOPLE.
There are also people who LIKE BEER and those who HATE BEER.
Some parents have even gotten into the habit of lying to their children about coffee – telling them that you must be 16 years old before you could legally buy or drink coffee at all, putting coffee squarely into the “adult beverages” world that is usually exclusively assigned to alcohol.
