Leave it to Cleavage

It’s true – it’s all about the boobs.

It’s not just because there’s a superior sense of fashion going on here, women really do have reason to hate other women — and it really does come down to boobs and cleavage.

Not all honey is created equal: do you know what’s in YOUR honey?

Organic Rainforest Honey
Organic Rainforest Honey

Do you know what’s in YOUR jar of honey that’s in your pantry?

Chances are, you just went to the store and purchased whatever honey was on the shelf and brought it home, without bothering to worry about what is actually in that cute plastic bear squeeze bottle.

And since honey is one food that doesn’t spoil, chances are that you’ve had that same jar of honey for a few years — and doesn’t it look just as crystal clear now as it did when you first purchased it?

Statue of David

Ladies? Web Watch has a question for you:

When you see a semi-clothed or naked man, do they seem competent to you?

Probably not, as it goes back to the old Jerry Seinfeld comment of, “naked crouching never looks good.”

Don’t feel bad about your perception of other people’s nakedness — you’re not alone.

There’s no such thing as the “Freshman 15”. (The cake is also a lie.)

The Freshman 15 Workout
The Freshman 15 Workout

You know all those stories about college girls gaining weight in their first year of school?  The dreaded “Freshman 15”?

Yeah, it’s a total lie.

That’s right — freshmen do NOT gain 15 extra pounds when they’re away at college due to the awesomeness of the college cafeteria meal plan.

Population Control: Real Costs, Illusory Benefits
Population Control: Real Costs, Illusory Benefits

Today they expect there to be 7 BILLION PEOPLE ON EARTH.

That’s a lot of mouths to feed, people to clothe, waste to process.

One could expect that the Earth — or our modern infrastructure — was not built to sustain this type of function.  More people just means more needs: from power to water, places to live, medicines, beds, etc…

No more does the old adage of a man and a wife deciding to procreate to have two children to replace them when the parents die; we’re seeing larger and larger families come around in countries around the world, putting a strain on systems that were never designed to carry that type of load.

Is reading while in the bathroom good for you?

Uncle John's Bathroom Reader
Uncle John’s Bathroom Reader

Show of hands: how many of you read while sitting on the toilet?

Yeah, we thought so — reading (or using your smartphone or iPad) while dropping the kids off at the pool has become a habit by almost everyone.  Web Watch cringes at those who take their office paperwork with them to the bathroom stall before a meeting, knowing that the next stapled handout we receive may be covered in fecal matter.

Yeah, not a pretty image to think about, is it?  But you’re going to think about it next time you see your boss head to the bathroom before your next staff meeting, aren’t you?  Yeah, we thought so.

Study proves that men really are funnier than women

Web Watch has heard from many entertainment professionals that men are always going to be funnier than women.

Jerry Lewis said it, others have as well.

Heck, we’ve seen this play out in real life — with women-based comedies often getting short-changed at the movie theater (until Bridesmaids came along to prove everyone wrong).  TV is a different story, with female-lead comedies often leading the ratings, until something Horribly Wrong happens to have those shows suddenly and mysteriously cancelled.

Rosanne?  Laverne & Shirley?  The Lucy Show?   All written by men, we’ll guess.

Even Tina Fey, when she was head writer at SNL, said that it was tough to be a woman working in a man’s world.
