If you’re like Web Watch, then you grew up watching the creepy black-and-white Rod Serling-hosted TV series, THE TWILIGHT ZONE.
Maybe you’ve even played the classic 1993 Twilight Zone pinball machine, or rode the TWILIGHT ZONE TOWER OF TERROR at Walt Disney World’s Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park…. and still have absolutely no idea about the impact that the original TV series had on America’s psyche at the time the show was on the air.
If you aren’t already familiar with the TV show, there’s no need to read any further. But, if you’re a fan… then read on.

Web Watch is lucky that we love sports, and we surround ourselves with others who do as well. (Although, to be honest, if we hated sports we likely would surround ourselves with other like-minded sports haters. Funny how the world works, isn’t it?)
But we often hear about relationships that fail because HE likes to do things that are surrounding the College Football Game Of The Week, and SHE would rather not. On the other hand, we have plenty of friends whose relationships thrive as the couples share the thrills of victory and the agonies of defeat.
So what’s a woman to do when she absolutely, positively loves her man, but has 100% no interest whatsoever in the sports that he’s chosen to watch?

The other day, Web Watch was talking with an Internet-savvy friend of ours about the cool stuff we see online, and they surprised us by not knowing anything about the latest smartphone gaming craze, DRAW SOMETHING.
Seriously? The game has been out for over 2 months now, been all over the news. And while we haven’t explicitly mentioned it here, we figured that many of our faithful Web Watch readers had already installed it over their copy of Angry Birds.
What it really showed us was that our friend was living in their own little bubble world that they had created, to isolate themselves from the ‘net fluffernutter so they could concentrate on the really good stuff.
You know, kinda like what we do here every day at Web Watch.

FOX’s TV show NEW GIRL has become one of this season’s more entertaining programs.
While it started slow, with an unnecessary emphasis on the adorkable Zooey Deschanel, it has grown into itself as the audience (and show writers) have gotten to know all the other characters that inhabit Jess’ 30-year-old life.
One recent episode had Jess wondering how to describe what she saw, when she saw one of her roommates’ friends urinating in their shared, co-ed bathroom.

There are fans of the TV show SURVIVOR – like Web Watch and others we know, who enjoy the adventure and gameplay that Jeff Probst and Mark Burnett bring to our television screens each week (along with the hysterical ignorance of every contestant to Jeff’s constant advice to always be looking towards the end-game in determining how to best strategize your way to a $1 million dollar grand prize).
And there are Super Fans, folks who study every aspect of the show – who train themselves on show trivia and gaming techniques in the hopes that they too will be picked by the shows’ casting directors and added to the list of hundreds of Survivor contestants who have pushed themselves to the limits (both mental and physical) to claim the title of Ultimate Survivor.

Celebrity Chefs are a unique entity, unlike any other profession.
Where fans can watch a professional sports event (football, golf, tennis), we know that we can never be as good as they are in their particular field of play. We’ll play those sports for fun, with the full realization that we would never be able to do anything even close to what those folks are able to pull off on a regular basis.
But celebrity chefs? They’re just cooking. We can cook, too.
It doesn’t take that much skill to grill a steak to perfection – Web Watch does this all the time, and our steaks come out absolutely fantastic.
Restaurant-quality, if we do say so ourselves.
Granted, we need to pay a little more for some higher-quality ingredients on occasion to really pull off some incredible meals, but that’s a choice that we consciously make. In any case, the average home cook does have the exact same tools available to them as the Celebrity Chef does, so in some ways it really is an even playing field here.

As long-time Web Watch readers know, we’ve been a huge fan and support of TiVo over the years. We’re all set to pony up and buy the Tivo Premiere Elitewith 4 tuners and 2TB worth of recording space, once TiVo and the cable companies work out their On Demand issues.
But that was all before all the APPLE TV rumors started to crop up again this week.
And if these rumors about what 2012 will bring in terms of an Apple living room experience, we may need to reevaluate our decision to invest in another TiVo, no matter how much it pains us to consider this as an option.
So let’s dive into what the rumors are, as well as present our own wish list of what the ultimate APPLE TV experience should be, after the break.
