Survey shows SLIM-FAST is a better diet than NUTRISYSTEM

We’re always on some sort of diet.  You may be on a diet and not know it (check with your significant other if unsure).

For some, it’s just a question of eating less, eating healthier, eating in more instead of eating out.  Packing a lunch for school or work, bypassing desserts, cutting out alcohol for Lent…. no matter how you do it, there’s always some sort of decison making that goes along with your meal plan of choice.

If you have to drink a Trader Joe’s “Two Buck Chuck” wine, which would you choose?

We know that you’re one of those people who went out to Trader Joe’s and bought a few cases of Charles Shaw vintages for your last dinner party.

You felt that the wine was good enough – at $2 a bottle ($3 a bottle in some states, due to shipping costs) – that you’d be saving some money by serving basic wine to your guests and they’ll never know the difference.

Here’s a hint if you are planning on doing this:  decant those bottles.  Don’t let your friends know that you’re serving them Two Buck Chuck, as no matter how drinkable the wine may be, their initial impression will be solely based on the price you paid per bottle.

What’s the most misspelled word submitted in FCC indecency complaints?

We’ve all seen stuff on TV that we felt was questionable at times.

Whether it be the infamous Wardrobe Malfunction at the Super Bowl to graphic news coverage, there have been times that TV producers have pushed the envelope more than they should in order to meet artistic goals (or to gain a little press for themselves).

No longer is after 10p considered safe harbor for language or nudity, as cable channels don’t have to adhere to the same FCC regulations that broadcasters have to contend with.  So the broadcasters are forced to make programming decisions that reflect today’s society.

But just because they CAN make these choices, doesn’t mean they SHOULD make these choices.

Business insights learned from jumping on the Carolina Panthers bandwagon

With the Super Bowl around the corner, there are the usual suspects playing in this year’s playoffs: the Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, Denver Broncos… and the Carolina Panthers?

Seemingly forgotten as a viable team this year, the Panthers started off the season at 1-3 before going on a winning tear through their opponents – finishing the season at the top of their division, the number 2 seed in the conference, and with a first round bye.

Who are the Worst Football Announcers on TV?

We all watch football every weekend, right?

And if not football every week, you at least watch the Super Bowl with your friends or family.  And who can’t remember the classic sounds of Howard Cosell calling a sporting event that big?  It was magic, wasn’t it?

Definitely memorable.
