Remember when Web Watch brought you ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED and how much fun you had with unlocking all those achievements in that game?
Well, we’re back with another game called TINY CASTLE, which is reminiscent of the classic MINER 2049er or DARK CASTLE updated for a new era.
Web Watch knows the best way to get a drink at the bar: Tip noticably well on the first round.
Even if the drinks are free, such as at an open-bar wedding, you should tip big when you have the opportunity to do so and be noticed. A $20 bill at the right time early in the evening will do wonders for you later at night. Perhaps a heavier pour, speedier service, an extra drink made available after the bar is “officially” closed for the evening.

If you’re like Web Watch, you’re constantly using your computer mouse to move that pointer around the screen all day long. (Actually, if you were like Web Watch, you’d long ago learned those useful keyboard shortcuts to keep you from having to use the mouse at all…but that’s another story for another day.)
Still, have you ever wondered HOW MANY MILES YOUR MOUSE MOVES OVER THE COURSE OF A DAY? Of course you have. One study even determined that the average computer mouse moves up to a mile in a single week.
The recent announcement from Mattel concerning CHANGING THE SCRABBLE RULESET TO ALLOW FOR PROPER NAMES AND OTHER BLASPHEMY is really not that big a deal.
First, some perspective. How exactly is the game being modified?
- Celebrity names and other proper nouns will now be allowed. What comprises the proper spelling of specific proper names will be left to the discretion of the players at the time the play is made. In some families, for example, the name “Micheal” may be the proper way to spell the name “Michael” – to them, that would be an acceptable play.
- Players will be able to spell words backwards on the game board, reading from right-to-left or bottom-to-top instead of the traditional directions. Web Watch kinda likes this idea.
- Players will now be able to play words that aren’t connected to any other words on the board. Web Watch is not such a fan of this.
- The rules are only being applied to a special edition of the game being released in Britain – the traditional game and its rules are not being modified at all.
Web Watch likes bargains, and sometimes you end up getting what you pay for.
Take online shopping site WOOT.COM, for example. For those of you who don’t know, woot.com is an online clearinghouse of discount, discontinued, overstock, and occasional new product introductions. The catch is that woot.com only sells one item a day – and once they’re sold out, they’re gone. The bonus – no matter what you buy from woot, shipping is only $5.
So, on occasion when woot is selling phenomenal stuff, like the TIVO SERIES 3 HD DVR (which normally retails for around $400 new) at a woot-tastic price of $169 for a freshly refurbished model – they can sell out relatively quickly, even when users are limited to buying at most three of each sale item.
Then there are the other occasions when woot is selling inexpensive camera tripods for $1 each, and they do everything in their power to get rid of them as fast as possible and still not succeed in putting a dent in the woot inventory before the day is through.
And that latter situation is what brings us to the famous woot-off, because woot needs to do something with the inventory that even they can’t sell.
