If so, you may want to read about WHAT YOUR TATTOO SAYS ABOUT YOU.

First, you need to take into account WHERE on your body you have decided to get the tattoo.

Come Jump On The Bed With Me

The best thing about checking into some of the newer, higher-end hotels is that they really are promoting their “high-thread count linens” or “superior mattresses” (which some hotels will even sell to you at the end of your stay, if you absolutely loved your mattress so much that you just had to take it home with you).

The Radisson chain, for example, is promoting that they have the SLEEPNUMBER bed.  The last time I stayed at a Radisson, I didn’t find the SleepNumber Bed that remarkable, especially since the maid had lodged the controller between the bedframe and the headboard amongst all the evil hotel room dustbunnies that never seem to get vacuumed up.

Ew.

Perhaps if I had tried the bed at the SleepNumber store at the mall, like everyone else does, I would have had a better night’s sleep.

More of the Most Common Facebook Photos and Poses

A few months ago, Web Watch presented the TOP 20 MALE POSES SEEN ON FACEBOOK, but that appears to be just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to stereotypical Facebook photos and poses.

Urban Dictionary even has a definition for “Facebook Pose”:   An “I look so good from this angle” pose that people pull when someone is taking a picture of them that is likely to appear on facebook. Such pictures are usually taken at a concert/party/club, and are posted for no reason other than to make people appear successful popular and like they have a life.

Here are the SIX MOST COMMON FACEBOOK PHOTOS:

Awkward Family Photos

Sometimes a family portrait is just a picture.

And sometimes, a family portrait can be something much, much more entertaining for others, especially when commenting is turned on so you can mock anonymously.

Continuing in the line of websites that will probably be turned into yet another major web-to-book deal (where you will be kicking yourself for not coming up with the concept first), check out AWKWARD FAMILY PHOTOS for a look at some family photos that are, well, awkward.

Detooning Disney in Five Lessons, a Response

PROGRESS CITY, USA‘s latest article in their “TEN WISHES FOR THE NEW YEAR” series is entitled “DETOONIFICATION“.  In it, PCU writes about how they would like to de-toon the Disney parks, and how the recent character overlays on various rides are a bit of overkill.

PCU does have a point:  the overlay of Iago and Zazu into Walt Disney World’s Tiki Room is a perfect example of how not to add characters to an attraction.   While the number crunchers may have interpreted the declining turnstyle numbers on the attraction as an indication that the Tiki Room was tired and needed to be modernized, the reality is seen across the country in Disneyland’s beautifully restored Tiki Room: that with a little bit of attraction maintenance – cleaning up the audio, blowing the dust off the electronics and lights – the crowds will once again flock to a beloved attraction.

How to Find an Internship or Job, Off-the-Beaten-Path

One common conversation topic I find myself having with my unemployed friends is that – after they’ve been unemployed for an extended period of time – they are willing to try anything, even if it means switching career paths. And frankly, some are using their job hunt time to switch to a career that they’ve always wanted to try.

But if you are out of the college market, what are some ways to discover new, interesting internships that aren’t necessarily in your own field of experience?  Sure, you could check the want-ads in the newspaper, but why not check out an intern-specific website like  ONE DAY ONE INTERNSHIP?

Flights From Hell

FLIGHTS FROM HELL is one of those websites that you know has always existed as whispered conversations overheard in the airline club rooms, and exposed a little bit at a time on TV shows such as A&E’s AIRLINE.

We learn that plane travel is not necessarily as glamorous as it once was, and depending on the flight you’re taking (Orlando destinations tend to be filled with screaming kiddies in both directions), or the airline you’re flying on (Southwest appears to be a leader, if only based on what they’ve shown on that TV show), we all can say that at one time or other, we’ve all been on a FLIGHT FROM HELL.

Competitours: The Amazing Race for Non-Reality-TV Whores

Last night, CBS pre-empted THE AMAZING RACE to show some lame awards show.  Don’t they realize that all the TAR fans want to do is watch Phil and the racers wander the world for our amusement?

Many of my friends have the same philosophy when it comes to appearing on a reality-TV show: they won’t do it.   (Granted, one person I know did whore himself out to the reality TV gods, and everything seemed to work out okay for him, so maybe my survey sample needs to be increased a little bit.)

Still, if you are interested in experiencing The Amazing Race as a vacation instead of as a game show, you will want to check out COMPETITOURS: THE AMAZING RACE FOR REGULAR PEOPLE.
