How many dates should you have before saying, “I Love You”?

Web Watch knows one couple who decided to get married after just one month of dating — and they’ve been happily married ever since.

There’s another couple we know that have been together for about a year… yet they haven’t yet appeared at an event together as a couple.  Friends are still asking when they’ll get to meet the other half – or if they ever will.

When it comes to dating, some people have specific rules:  no kissing until the third date, for example.  Or no sex until at least after meeting the parents (because meeting the parents represents a significant step forward in ones’ relationship).

How to predict winning lottery numbers

“How to predict winning lottery numbers?”  Let’s be a bit more specific — today we’re going to talk about why it really doesn’t matter what lottery numbers you pick.

Ever.

Look – winning the lottery is one of those one-in-a-billion opportunities.  Sure, someone somewhere is going to hit the Powerball or Megamillions jackpots – but they’re definitely not going to be able to tell you how they did it.

But lottery fever is going to take over your family, your office. Everyone is going to want you to pitch in your dollar for a chance at the multi-million dollar prize.

The question is, should you?

News flash: nobody can tell you’re being sarcastic via email (well, la-dee-freakin-dah)

Have you ever written a quick text message, Twitter comment, or email to someone – intended to be a joke – and have it be completely misinterpreted?

There’s a reason why emoticons have become so widespread :) .

It’s because on the Internet, nobody can really tell if what they’re reading is supposed to be taken at face value or if it should be treated like a joke.

How to make the English Garden cocktail martini, a recipe inspired by Gordon Ramsay Steak

Web Watch was in Las Vegas recently, where we had the pleasure of dining at GORDON RAMSAY STEAK at the Paris Las Vegas casino.

Needless to say, famed celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay wasn’t there that night, but we’ll just offer a quick review of the place: in one word, “fantastic”.

Of course, it didn’t help that having Chef Ramsay’s name on the marquee led to a constant parade of tacky tourists with their camera phones, t-shirts, and flip-flops barging into the main dining area to take a photo or two of a place that they’re not spending a nickle in.  It was a bit disruptive to those of us with our own camera phones who were diving in to our own 2-hour dining spectactular.

But regardless of the lack of control the hosting staff had in preventing the riff-raff from interfering with our fine dining, Web Watch highly recommends Gordon Ramsay Steak for your next Las Vegas dining experience.

What?  You’re not planning on heading out to Vegas anytime soon?  Well – let Web Watch bring you a little bit of Gordon Ramsay to your kitchen…

The secret rule of riding the bus? Nobody wants to sit next to the “Crazy Person”

Let’s face it – we’ve all played that game of chance when riding our favorite form of public transportation, whether it be a streetcar in San Francisco, a plane flying out of JFK, or a public bus or subway:

“Is that person coming down the aisle going to sit in the empty seat next to me?”

And there are some people who are coming through that you say, “why yes – I’d love for that hottie to sit next to me for the next 4 hours” (Web Watch knows of at least one blooming relationship that was born from such a random airplane encounter).

And then there are others who you hope and pray won’t choose you to be their personal Travel Buddy and Hygiene Police.

When it comes to your privacy, Facebook stinks

By now, you’ve probably gotten used to all the privacy warnings about Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, and other social media and online sites.

You’ve certainly heard all the news, even if you haven’t taken the time to actually do anything about it in your own life.

And maybe that’s okay.  Maybe it all depends on your personal philosophy about what people can do with your personal information.  They say that kids today don’t care as much about keeping things to themselves as their parents did at that same age.

Of course, all that openess could come back to bite those youngsters when they go out to find their first job — but that’s at least 10 years from now, right?
