Here’s a way to make money by getting rid of those unwanted, unused gift cards

Web Watch went to a charity auction a few years ago and won a silent auction for a handful of restaurant gift cards, for restaurants that we would actually go to.

We used three of the four cards, which more than made up for the overall cost paid at the auction. Yet we have one card left that we just haven’t gotten around to using.

And this week we found out that the restaurant it was for just closed. We know we could travel around the country and use the gift card at one of their other locations, but we really doubt we’ll be visiting one of those cities anytime soon. Just saying.

Web Watch has been told that we were the first to get a Wave started at Coors Field in Denver during a Colorado Rockies baseball game circa 1993 or 1994 or so.

We may not have the date correct, but the one fact we do know is true is that drunk college kids sitting in front of us are easily persuaded to do things that they might not normally do in public.

Like doing The Wave.

For the past few years, the Center for Science in the Public Interest has been monitoring what restaurants have been serving, as a way to inform the public about the horrors that await them when eating wonderful, delicious restaurant food.

Web Watch, like you, loves cheese.

We apparently didn’t know that adding cheese to any meal is typically a no-no when it comes to eliminating fat and calories from one’s diet. So we’re torn – cheese tastes good, but it’s bad for you.

Oh well – maybe we’ll just have one or two small bites, then set the rest of these phenomenally sounding meals away to snack on later. Can’t let all that cheese go to waist, can we? (See what we did there? Looks like we mispelled “waste” as “waist”. Ha!)
